Masconomet Regional High School Cheerleading
The main focus of Masconomet Regional High School Cheerleading is to support High School athletics, provide school spirit, and compete at the highest level.
Everyone will be placed on a competition team and game team. We offer these at JV & Varsity level.
We take game day very seriously. Girls need to memorize & execute 30+ game day cheers and chants, 3+ spirit dances, and numerous game day stunts. If a cheerleader does not know her game day material she will sit out until she knows all material. Game days are when our school and community see us the most. We have to represent our school and program with the utmost respect and poise.
Along with supporting our school, we pride ourselves in being a competitive program in the Varsity DII and Junior Varsity divisions.
Seniority is NOT taken into account for team placements. Team placements are based on skill, athleticism, mental toughness, attitude, effort, stamina, leadership skills, confidence, coach-ability, strength, and technique in all aspects of cheer. We will place athletes on the team where they will best be able to thrive and grow as an athlete. We aim to create two strong and competitive teams to continue our legacy of excellence.
Our JV team is highly competitive. This team is held to a high standard for stunting, motions, dance, and performance. They should be working diligently to improve their tumble and jump skills.
Our Varsity team is highly competitive, having numerous league and regional titles, as well as numerous top placements at the State and National level. This team is held to a very high standard in all aspects of cheer. They are expected to stunt, tumble, jump, and perform at the advanced level.
